Script Analyst Brian O’Malley began reading and covering scripts for Roger Corman in 1997, and soon put together a great team of screenwriting professionals to launch SCREENPLAY READERS.
The mission: to help make script coverage more affordable, more constructive, and more effective in actually helping screenwriters improve their scripts by providing coverage that’s as close as possible to real-world coverage they’d receive if they’d sent their script out to an agent or producer. And, to help agents, producers, festivals, and folks who were just looking for good scripts, FIND those good scripts. O’Malley worked as a filmmaker and screenwriter for 25 years and has written, produced, and directed five feature films of budgets ranging from $50,000 to $200,000, including the werewolf comedy Audie & The Wolf, the Fangoria cult favorite Bleak Future, the comedy Minimum Wage, and co-wrote and produced the feature film Boppin’ At The Glue Factory with Director/Writer Jeff Orgill. The screenplay was a two-time semi-finalist for the prestigious Sundance Screenwriting Lab.

The Screenplay Readers office is smack dab at the center of the film industry, Hollywood, California, USA, (well, actually closer to East Hollywood) and all of our screenplay readers have worked either in development or for production companies or agencies, giving script notes and script feedback in some capacity. We maintain 100% anonymity for our readers in order to allow them the complete freedom to give their honest opinions of scripts, but rest assured, we do not hire interns, or other unqualified personnel, to read your script.
Put simply: We only hire the BEST of the BEST script analysts working in the film industry
Our script readers are only brought aboard the Screenplay Readers team after we’ve screened their resume for significant film industry experience, and we’ve read several of their recent coverages. We make sure our readers provide articulate, comprehensive, constructive feedback with every coverage they write.
There are dozens of other great script coverage companies on the internet, so we invite you to try one of them, if Screenplay Readers doesn’t sound what you’re looking for.
We have hundreds of regular clients that LOVE our script services, including screenwriters, agents, managers, producers, development execs, name indie directors, script festivals, and more, so feel free to ask around about us. We stand by our reputation. We’re sometimes harsh, we’re always firm, but we’re always honest, and we’re always ALL ABOUT THE SCRIPT.
Thanks for stopping by!
