Alain, Babz, I must've missed your comments somehow when they were originally posted! It took Kevin's comment above to make me check out this post again. My bad! Thanks for your input! I'm a scoundrel for not replying sooner. I agree wholeheartedly with your insights... It's indeed a Grand Canyon difference between 120 stacked pieces of paper and a sellable screenplay. So true, so true!

Hi Stacy! Anything is possible, of course! But in my experience, I've found that the only thing that leads to success is total submersion.

Brian,

So how about Portland, Oregon as a vibrant film community or rather... not that far away from L.A.? I can be in L.A. In a little more than an hour by plane. Mike Rich who wrote Finding Forrester, The Rookie, and Secretariat lives just down the road. Is Portland close enough to establish a career, or at least break in?

.......I'll take it!

Thank you Brian for putting in the time to read/review this. Much appreciated.
I had a feeling about what I was doing wrong, and you're right. I'll work on raising the interesting-factor and condensing the material. As for the minor notes, I hadn't even noticed, but I'm glad you pointed them out. I'll start keeping an eye out for such things.

Thanks again,

This is my screenplay - I guess the title page never came through! Anyway, thank you for the awesome review! Yes, there is a little cliche in there, but the pregnancy is not the focus of the story. I think that means my real hook which happens around page 17 really needs to start here.

Again, thank you so much!

Regards,
