When you’ve got the perfect movie idea but no time to write it yourself
Hello! I’m Brian O’Malley. I’m a veteran filmmaker, screenwriter, script consultant, and literary manager with over 30 years experience. I offer full rewriting services and ghostwriting for your screenplay or idea, where you retain full authorship, full ownership, and full screen credit for any work I do. (In other words, when I deliver your rewritten script to you, my name is not on it, and I have no claim to it whatsoever. It’s 100% yours.)
How my screenplay rewriting service works:
Step 1) You and I work out the plan and payment details via email.
Step 2) I read your screenplay (or your ideas if no script exists yet) and email you my plan for a write / rewrite.
Step 3) We talk about that plan to make sure it works for you. After the call, I begin writing, and when I’m finished, I deliver a draft to you.
Step 4) You read that draft and then send me a page or two of final notes, we get on another call to discuss those final notes, and then I provide a final round of polishing which addresses your notes. Then the job is done.
Turnaround time, payment schedule, and exact deliverables are all worked out before any work begins. Most rewrites take anywhere between 4 and 8 weeks.

Step 1) You order the service
After checkout, I’ll email you to work out a date and time for the call that works for both of us and what app works best for you for the call (regular phone call, Google Meet, Zoom, or text messages only).
Step 2) We jump on a call
The day of the call, you and connect and I provide notes and advice and answer any questions you have about improving your screenplay (and/or we can brainstorm about story and characters or whatever you like: screenwriting, your writing career, producing your script, script reading as a career, you name it. It’s your time.)
Step 3) You email follow-up questions (as many as you like)
After we wrap up the call, please feel free to ask more questions (within reason). I’m happy to provide ongoing email guidance, and won’t leave you stranded as you move forward with your story.
Script Consultation and Coaching details
I do my best to keep it to the time allotted but I know calls can sometimes go into overtime by a minute or two. If they do, no worries. I won’t cut off the call in the middle of a thought. And if you’re camera shy? No problem. We can do a phone call or just use audio only for Zoom or Google Meet and/or we can mute the video.
Please make sure your Zoom or Google Meet software work and you’ve tested your camera and audio your before your call begins. But no worries: if you have any such difficulty, we can pause the call and finish at a later time/date or switch to a different connection.
